Excellent effort in the field sees Beaconsfield defend 124 on a wearing wicket to progress to the second round.

On the same pitch as used on the Saturday, Beaconsfield looked to take advantage of it deteriorating by batting first on winning the toss.

Unlike the day before the top-order failed as the home side slipped to 42-4 in 15 overs and then 59-6 in the 23rd as Chesham's Maciver brothers picked up 3 wickets each.

Beaconsfield looked to be struggling to make three-figures but for a 39 run partnership between Jon Mahood & Tamoor Hussain (30) with Hussain scoring the majority of the runs, seeing Beaconsfield to 124 and shifting the momentum of the match.

In the field, the spin of James Rendell made the crucial breakthrough trapping Goddard LBW, before claiming Eteen caught & bowled for 0, whilst at the other end, Mahood bowled his 9 overs through finishing with 3-14 and putting Chesham well on the back foot at 32-5.

Despite some resistance from opener Rance & the lower order, Chesham never looked like recovering from here and with 2 wickets a piece to Hussain & Mark Sullivan, the young Chesham side were eventually bowled out for 76.
