Beaconsfield CC took on Hawridge and Cholesbury CC in a midweek t20 fixture, with a young side taking on a much more experienced H&C team.
Winning the toss and batting first, Beaconsfield made a steady start through Jamie Daniel (14) and Jake Wilson (30*retired). Acceleration came from Alex Gorton (26) and Will Midwinter (33* retired) before cameos from Justin van Vuuren, Toby Slater, Sharjeel Tahir and Harry Taylor pushed the score to 160/4 helped by 20 extras.
In response, H&C never got going with Joe Bracey and Scott Jackson applying immediate pressure, which was successfully backed up by Mattias Gianneri and Sharjeel. Only some late hitting brought the Hawridge and Cholesbury score up to 120/8 from their 20 overs.
Overall, this was an excellent performance across the board, with highlights including an outstanding caught and bowled from Sharjeel, a miserly three over spell from Mattias and excellent death bowling frrom Scott Jackson.
