Beaconsfield made it five wins in a row when they defied the weather to beat Bagshot by eight wickets in Thames Valley League Division 2B at Wilton Park on Saturday.
Hamish Smart took two early wickets when Bagshot batted first, but it was a stunning spell of 5-16 in 8.1 overs from leg-spinner Alex Gorton that helped dismiss the visitors for 170 in 49.1 overs.
Following a long break for rain, Beaconsfield knew they had to hurry to knock off the runs - and they did so in just 25.2 overs for the loss of two wickets.
The prolific Johnny Bowers again starred with 72 not out from 55 balls with two sixes and 11 fours, but he was overshadowed by David Heavyside, whose spectacular unbeaten 78 came off just 42 balls with two sixes and 13 fours.
This win keeps Beaconsfield ten points behind leaders Henley 2nd, whom they visit on Saturday in a 50-50 clash that could decide who gains the one promotion spot.
