The outdoor season began with a bang as several hundred players, parents and spectators gathered for the ESM Academy Mo Aslam Memorial Tournament

The action took place at London Road on Easter Monday. Clubs' under 11 teams from across the county were represented as junior players dusted off the winter cobwebs and played a fast paced 8-a-side limited overs tournament. Stalls, music and cricket memorabilia auctions kept the big bank holiday crowd occupied in between matches and helped to raise over £1000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

High Wycombe and Beaconsfield enjoyed 100% win records in their groups, then both won their semi finals before facing each other in a pulsating final.

Beaconsfield batted first and posted a commanding total of 114, with all of the reigning county champions' batsmen making solid contributions. In response, Wycombe's spirited innings came up 11 runs short thanks to accurate bowling and high-intensity fielding in a nailbiting finale.
