We had a great tournament at Farnham. Although there was a little bit of rain on the day the cricket was really good. The 10-over format kept things moving and made for some exciting games.
>
> The first match was against the hosts Farnham and we batted nicely to post a net score of 231 (for 3) against some strong bowling. We then bowled and fielded well and despite taking 5 Farnham wickets they pipped us by a single run.
>
> The second match was against Hurley who batted first and set us a total of 237 to chase. In an exciting game we scored the winning runs of the final ball (a 4 from Fraser) and won the match by 1 run.
>
> After 2 close games we faced the Beaconsfield U8s first team in our final match. We bowled well throughout but some panicky fielding in the last 2 overs cost us 15 runs and despite batting well (with a hat full of 4s from Fenton) we were unable to catch up and lost by a few runs posting net score of 238 for 4.

> This was the first time representing Beaconsfield for all but one of the players and they acquitted themselves excellently, producing some very entertaining cricket. Well done all - the medals were well deserved.
